Glossary

Kickertool and the tournament.app API sometimes use different words for the same thing. The API keeps one name per concept for every sport, the manual uses the words of the app.

Manual API Meaning
Tournament tournaments One event with its disciplines, participants, tables and results.
Organizer organizers The account, club or association that runs tournaments.
Discipline disciplines One competition inside a tournament, for example Open Doubles. Has its own participants, stages and standings.
Player, Team entries A participant of a discipline: a single player, a doubles pair or a named team. The API calls all of them entries.
Stage stages One phase of a discipline with one mode, for example a Swiss System followed by an Elimination.
Group groups A subdivision of a stage in modes that play in groups, such as Round Robin.
Round rounds The matches drawn together at one point of a stage.
Match matches A game between two participants, or between two drawn teams in MonsterDYP. Its result is counted in sets and goals.
Table courts Where a match is played. The API says court because tournament.app is not limited to table soccer.
Standings, Table standings The ranking of a stage or group, built from the table columns.
Bye A free round for one participant when the field is odd. Modes handle it differently, see the mode pages.
Check-in Marks a participant as present, only checked-in participants take part in the draw.
Result result The outcome of a match: sets, goals, and who won.
Webhook webhooks An HTTP callback tournament.app sends to your server when tournament data changes, see Webhooks.
